Hospital indemnity insurance pays a fixed daily benefit if you have a covered stay in a hospital, critical care unit or rehabilitation facility. The benefit can be used for the birth of a child, mental health, non-elective surgery and other hospital stays.
Hospital Indemnity Coverage Benefits
Admission Benefit (First Day of Confinement)
This benefit is payable once per confinement, up to eight admission(s) per year.

Adding a Child to Family
| If child coverage is effective before your child is born OR child coverage is elected within 31 days of the birth: |

| Your newborn may receive benefits just as any other covered child. |
| If child coverage IS NOT effective before your child is born: |
| Benefits for your newborn will be the same as for any other child for the first 90 days from their birth. No admission benefit is payable for confinement due to birth. |
Hospital indemnity coverage also includes a wellness benefit of $50 for completion of a covered screening.

How to Use Your Benefit
Submit a Claim
- Go to presents.voya.com/ebrc/beneschlaw and click on “Start A Claim”
- Complete the questionnaire
- Download your claim form package if applicable
- Complete the form package and gather supporting documents
- Submit your claim
- You can monitor your claim’s status by entering the claim number on the Online Claims Center at voya.com/claims. If your claim is approved, your benefit will be paid within 10 business days of the approval
